Greene County Career Center Renovation

Ruetschle was just selected to renovate 10,000 sf of the Greene County Career Center into Criminal Justice educational and training spaces.  This $750,000 fast track projects starts now and is targeted to be complete by the start of the new school year.

Zorniger Environmental Laboratory at The Miami Valley School

Senior Alex Zorniger breaks ground today on the Zorniger Environmental Laboratory at The Miami Valley School - the region’s first laboratory for studying the environment using the environment.  The classroom will have no textbooks, but rather seed, dirt, rainwater, and the sun as its tools.  This “edible classroom” will provide seed-to-table, hands-on experiential leaning opportunities for the students – growing food for use in the school cafeteria and offerings to the community.  Science experiments will expand the study opportunities looking into nutrition, biology, organics, and photosynthesis.  The building will be lowered into the ground to take advantage of natural geothermal heating and cooling, and will have motorized shades and window controls to manage heat gain and loss.  Project slated to be complete by fall of 2011.

Liberty Center

Spent the day photographing the Liberty Center, our recent project for the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disability Services. Very rewarding to be able to design spaces that help those with disabilities live life fully.

Northmont Master Plan Revealed

Northmont Board of Ed. President Linda Blum being interviewed tonight on channel 22 at the Community Engagement Forum. The new site and grade configuration was revealed publicly for the planned (PK-1) Primary School. Other components of the $90M plan include a new (9-12) Northmont High School and adding AC to all the existing Elementary Schools.

Greeneview Middle School Bids Successfully

Greeneview Middle School (Jamestown, Ohio) was successfully bid yesterday. The $13.5M project came in 1.25% below the estimate, and drew tremendous interest from 38 bidders on 6 bid packages.

Liberty Center Ribbon Cutting

Ruetschle celebrated last night with Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disability Services (MCBDDS), at the grand opening of our newly renovated Liberty Center - a 57,000 sf renovation to house services for adults with disabilities in our community. Liberty Center will house MONCO's shredding service, production facility and dog bone kitchen, as well as classrooms and art rooms for adults in the MCBDDS program.

Alter High School Renovation Dedication

Ruetschle celebrated with Alter High School as the Archbishop dedicated their newly renovated Chapel. Project also included renovations to their science labs, culinary arts room, and sitework improvements.
